As expected Microsoft updated its Bings apps on Windows Phones with the new MSN branding. This move reflects Microsoft's alignment with MSN as a premium experience for content, combined with personal productivity features.
The updates are available for News, Finance, Weather, Travel, Finance, Sports, Health & Fitness, and Food & Drink. Aside from Bing Finance, which will now be MSN Money, all of the apps retain their existing names. The Health & Fitness app along with Weather app have also received new features besides the rebranding.
You can download these updates directly on your device through the Windows Phone Store or using the following links:
The Weather for Windows Phone app now lets you see up-to-the-minute weather statuses at a glance. As you may know, the Nokia Lumia 1520, Lumia 630 or Lumia 635 handsets come with inbuilt hardware to track your movements. With the updated Health & Fitness for Windows Phone you will now be able to keep track of steps through both GPS and your pedometer on these devices.
In future Microsoft is also expected to bring the MSN app suite to the iOS and Android platforms, allowing the user to keep their data connected across all their devices.
