T-Mobile will be first U.S. carrier to offer the Lumia 635 with Windows Phone 8.1


Nokia Lumia 635T-Mobile has announced on Tuesday, that it will be offering the Nokia Lumia 635 with Windows Phone 8.1 on its network. This makes the nation's fourth largest carrier the first in the U.S. to offer the device. The Lumia 635 features a 4.5 inch touch display, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, 4G LTE connectivity a 5 megapixel rear camera and a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM.

Starting on July 5th, the T-Mobile branded Nokia Lumia 635 will be available through the Home Shopping Network to pre-paid Simple Choice customers. Starting July 9th, the Nokia Lumia 635 will be available via T-Mobile's website for $0 down with $7 due each month for 24 months. To obtain that pricing, buyers must be a post-paid Simple Choice subscriber.

On July 16th you will be able to get the Lumia 635 at T-Mobile retail stores for a promotional price of $99. The handset will also be made available through MetroPCS online and its retail stores for the same price on July 18th.. 

The carrier is marketing the model as the sequel to the extremely popular Nokia Lumia 521 and T-Mobile customers with the Lumia 521 and the Nokia Lumia 925 will have their phones updated to Windows Phone 8.1 later this year.

Windows Phone 8.1 will be available out of the box on the Nokia Lumia 635, buyers of the handset will get to experience the voice activated, digital personal assistant Cortana along with the new Action Center, which manages your notifications. T Lumia 635 will also come with apps like, Microsoft Office, Skype and OneDrive.
