Windows Phone 8.1 receives first update, improves battery life and fixes bugs


 Windows Phone 8.1 receives first update

The Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview was released on April 14 and gave users early access to the latest version of Microsoft's mobile platform.. Today the first update is being pushed out to those in the who are running the Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview.

The initial Developer Preview of Windows Phone 8.1 came with the 8.10.12359.845 OS version. This update will put you at OS version 8.10.12382.878. According to Joe Belfiore, the update brings several bug fixes along with improvements to battery life

If you are running the Developer Preview, you can check for the update by heading to Settings > Phone Update. Once you have downloaded the update, you can follow the onscreen prompts to install the latest version of WIndows Phone 8.1 on your device.
