Google Camera for Android has been updated to version 2.2 which brings back several features which were missing on the initial release, including Timer, auto-cropping among others. Google Camera is a revamped version of the stock camera app for Android and introduces several new perks, including a lens blur effect, as well as enhanced photosphere and panorama modes.
The update will be available for your Android device automatically through the Google Play Store. You can also download the latest version and find out whats new after the break

Google Camera for Android version 2.2 has the following new features and improvements:
- Choice of full frame or cropped pictures (4:3 vs 16:9 on the Nexus 5)
- New splash screen for cropping selection
- Picture timer (3 and 10 second options)
- Tiny settings icon now indicated by UI popup on first run
- New panorama options – fisheye and wide angle
The panorama mode now has two additional entries for fisheye and a square wide angle image in addition to the vertical and horizontal options. We'll continue looking to see if anything else has been tweaked, but that's it for now.
