Google Camera for Android has been updated to version 2.1.042 which now includes the ability to capture photos while recording video. Google Camera for Android was released as an update to the stock camera app and introduces a revamped interface and along with several new perks, including a lens blur effect, as well as enhanced photosphere and panorama modes.

Along with the ability to capture photos while recording video, the update to Google Camera also brings some bug fixes - now, the focus ring won't disappear after you've taken a picture with the lens blur function of the app. Additionally, Google Camera won't force close if you try to enter the "Settings" menu.
