HTC One max for Verizon receives Android 4.4 KitKat update

HTC One max
The HTC One max for Verizon is now receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat software update. The One max already had Sense 5.5, so the user facing changes shouldn't be too noticeable, but the update to Android 4.4.2 brings along all of the new APIs from Google, such as immersive mode and the new web views.

The update will be rolled out to the HTC One max in stages starting Thursday, so if you don't receive the OTA update notification immediately give it a few days. You can also manually check for the update on your phablet by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update > Check now. Before downloading and installing the update, make sure your battery is fully charged. Users are also advised to connect to your Wi-Fi before initiating the update if you want to save on your data allowances.

Leave us a comment if you are an HTC One max owner on Verizon and if you have received the Android 4.4.2 software update.
