LG G2 for AT&T is now receiving the Android 4.4.2 software update
The LG G2 on AT&T (D800) is now receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat software update. The Android 4.4.2 update follows a system update which was released for customers on AT&T's network which prepared the device for receiving software update.
You will receive a notification when the update is ready for your device. If you do not get the notification, you can try and pull it by going to settings > about phone > software update > update now.
The update to Android 4.4.2 provides some restyled status and navigation bars and a new full-screen mode. The LG G2’s already excellent battery performance will be further improved through more efficient playing of media and support for battery saving location mode.
AT&T notes that overall speed should increase up to 17%, similar to what LG noted in a video a little while ago. Printing from the cloud is supported and “Knock On” is improved as well. The responsiveness is going to be better.
Leave us a comment if you have received the software update and let us know if the improvements and noticeable.
