HTC reveals Android 4.4 KitKat update plans for One max and One mini


HTC recently made a commitment to offer major Android updates to its flagship devices for two years, during a Ask Me Anything session on Reddit. In response to questions about existing hardware, HTC revealed that the One max and One mini are expected to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update in the near future.


HTC says that the Android 4.4 updates for the One max and One mini are currently being cooked up inside of its kitchens. The One max’s update is expected to hit first, with an estimated arrival in March, while the One mini’s piece of KitKat could be broken off sometime in April.

HTC also revealed its plans to bring the  update for the on Sprint. Due to certain complications, the manufacturer is looking for candidates willing to test a "technical update" process. You can learn more about this and how to be a part of the Android 4.3 test here.

HTC is planning to work hard to restore customer confidence in its brand. Now that it has a solid lineup of Android devices, it is upto the company to ensure it provides proper support to win the hearts of new customers while keeping their existing customers happy.
