HTC is planning to release the Android 4.4 KitKat update in March for the HTC One max and in April for the HTC One mini. The manufacturer is also planning to release the Android 4.3 update for the HTC EVO 4G LTE. However the update cannot be pushed OTA because of the limited memory partition size on the device.
Fortunately HTC has a workaround for this issue
HTC has stated that they are working on a "technical update" for the EVO 4G LTE. This update will be different that usual OTA updates and requires a group of “technical users” to volunteer to help this it before it is ready for release. If you're interested in being among the first HTC EVO 4G LTE owners to have Android 4.3 installed on your phone, you can send an email to them at HTCTrial@htc.com.
The HTC EVO 4G LTE will turn only two in June. With the advanced age of the handset, the Android 4.3 update is likely going to be the last one offered to the device.
