[BlackBerry app] Parrot updated with automatic call recording, optional media key and more

Parrot, a sound and voice recording app for BlackBerry 10, has been updated with several new features and improvements. Among the improvements you get a new icon, theme and visual style along with other performance improvements and bug fixes.

You can download the update directly on your BlackBerry 10 device through the App World or by using the following link:

Requirements BlackBerry 10 or greater

Open BlackBerry World on your device. Do one of the following:
  1. On a device running BlackBerry Device software 7.1 or older, press the Menu key. Click Scan a Barcode.
  2. On a BlackBerry 10 device, swipe down from the top of the screen. Click Scan a Barcode.
App World will instantly find the app you've selected.

After the update, Parrot can also recognize when a phone call begins and ends, and automatically start and stop recording accordingly. The app can also prompt the user on the call screen to manually start recording the current call. User permissions are required by the app to perform both these actions, so you could also opt to disable these features if you don't need them.

The Parrot Pro version, which costs $2.99 (£2.00) will additionally include call recording, password protection (built on the BB OS Cryptographic kernel) for your library of recordings, track importing, and an optional media key dedicated to starting and ending recordings.
