Currently the feature allows you to write, draw, and scribble on your notes – it doesn't automatically recognize your input and transform it into typed text. It is not clear if Evernote plans to implement this beta feature as it currently is, or plans to evolve it into some kind of handwriting recognition.
In order to try out the beta version of Evernote for Android, you will have to be approved as an Evernote beta-tester. You can join the Evernote beta tester community and get the necessary permissions, you can head on to Google Play and download the beta version of the popular app.
