Android 4.4 KitKat for HTC One arrives with US carriers


HTC has handed over the Android 4.4 KitKat software update for the HTC One has been handed to US carriers: Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.

The company revealed on Twitter that the “final KitKat software has entered carrier labs for final testing”, and we should “expect certification next week.” Once certification is complete, end users should start receiving the update on their devices

The unlocked HTC One, the Developer Edition and the Google Play Edition have all received Android KitKat in late 2013.


Meanwhile, the HTC One mini for AT&T, the HTC One max for Sprint and the HTC One max for Verizon are also set to receive the KitKat update in the near future. The KitKat update for the HTC Droid DNA for Verizon is also in the certificate stage with the HTC Desire 601 for Virgin Mobile also set to receive the KitKat update later this year.
