Apple has just released the first beta of iOS 7.0 to developers registered in Apple's iOS Developer Program. Developers can test the new features on the platform and see adapt their apps to the newest version of iOS. In order to get access to the beta, you have to register for the $99 per year fee, which will give you access to this and all the latest releases of Apple's mobile OS.
Apple iOS 7.0 was announced at today's WWDC 2013 keynote, giving the public the first glimpse at the newly updated platform. iOS 7.0 has done away with all the skeuomorphic elements and has now adopted a cleaner flattened look on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The first iOS 7.0 beta is now available to the developers with an iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5; It will be available for iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 and iPad mini in the coming weeks. Unfortunately the iconic iPhone 3GS has finally met the end of its software support cycle along with the iPod Touch 4.
Keep in mind that the iOS 7 beta is only available to registered developers and we want to warn users not to download the update from unknown sources. If you are really keen on testing on the latest iOS build, its probably worth paying the $99 per year fee instead of going through the hassle of installing the update from unverified sources.
If you have installed iOS 7 beta 1, please leave us a comment and let us know which device you have installed it on and how it handles the new OS. We are extremely curious to know how the Apple iPhone 4, which is the oldest device running this version of iOS fairs with the new features.
