The Acer Iconia W3 has been officially unveiled at Computex 2013. This Windows 8 tablet features an 8.1 inch touch display with a 1280 by 800 pixel resolution, up to 64GB of internal storage, a microSD card reader, a 2 megapixel camera, a secondary 2 megapixel camera for video calls and is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom processor with 2GB of RAM.
Acer's aim with the W3 is to "put the desktop into a single hand", but its 500 grams weight and 11.4 mm thickness doesn't quite make it the thinnest portable tablet, even though its the lightest Windows 8 tablet to date.
The Iconia W3 has the same Intel Atom Z2760 processor which is found in the Acer Iconia W510 and its battery is capable of offering around 8 hours of continuous use with a single charge.
Acer is adding value to this tablet by including a copy of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 which productive users will find useful. Especially if they choose to purchase the optional full sized QWERTY keyboard dock.
You can pre-order the 32GB and 64GB models of the Iconia W3 starting June 4 through several retailers, including Amazon, Office Depot, OfficeMax, Staples, Walmart and Microsoft Stores
