Google Chrome for Android has been updated to version 27 to match the recently released update to the desktop version. The new version comes with a few features and stability improvements including full screen mode.
You can download the latest version directly on your Android device through the Google Play Store. You can also download the app and check out the new features after the break.
With full screen mode the toolbar will disappear when you scroll down, similar to the behavior of the stock browser on older versions of Android. This feature is most useful on devices with smaller displays, where every millimeter of the screen real estate is useful.
Another new feature is, simplified searching in the omnibox (URL box) which will “keep your search query visible in the omnibox, making it easier to edit, and show more on your search result page.”
Tablet users now have a new history tab which will be revealed by long pressing the back button on your browser.
