Asus PadFone receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update

The Asus PadFone is now receiving the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update. The update which carries 10.2.1.9 and Android 4.1.1 comes in two versions – One for China and one for the rest of the world. You can enjoy all the new features you will expect from Jelly Bean, like the Google Now digital assistant, the performance improvement offered by Project Butter and the enhanced notifications panel.

Additionally you will get improvements to dictionary, camera, scrapbook and the File Manager app. Asus has also fixed the problem with the volume key with the update. It has also been noted that SD cards formatted in NTFS and EX Fat are now supported.

The update is being offered OTA over-the-air, and users will be notified when it is available for download on their devices. If you don't receive a notification you can manually check for the update by heading over to Settings.

Leave us a comment if you own an Asus PadFone and have received the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update on your device.
