[Android app] Google Wallet updated, brings a new interface among other improvements
The Google Wallet app for Android has been updated to version 1.6-R96-v13 which brings an improved user interface, a few performance improvements, bug fixes and improved battery life. Google Wallet holds your credit and debit cards, offers, and rewards cards. With this latest release, you can use any card from Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover in conjunction with the app.
You can download the update directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the link which follows:
The update fixed an issue on the Google Nexus 4 which didn’t allow cards to be activated and used on the device. If you own a Nexus 4 or other device which was showed a similar error, Google Wallet should work following this update.
To pay in-store, select the card you want to use, and then just tap your phone to any contactless point of sale terminal. Payment information is transmitted via near field communication (NFC). Shortly after you’ll see a transaction record with merchant name and dollar amount on your phone.
Google Wallet keeps you safe and secure. The app has its own PIN, and if you lose your phone, you can remotely disable your mobile wallet from http://wallet.google.com/manage.
