The International variant of the HTC One X is now receiving the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update. The device will feature a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture and will be powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. Its good to see HTC has kept to their promise to bring the Jelly Bean update for the One X before the end of this month.
The update is being rolled out by region with the device carrying customer ID (CID) htc_612 (sold in Taiwan) being first in line for the update. You should receive a notifications on your device, when the update is available for your regions, and you could always manually check for the update by heading over to Settings.
According to the report devices carrying CID htc_044 are said to receive the update on Sunday. Based on previous leaks of the Jelly Bean ROM for the HTC One X, the update has shown great improvement in the performance of the device. Now that the update is official, users should be able to validate these claims for themselves. Especially with the performance improvements Jelly Bean offers over Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich through project butter.
Meanwhile there is no news on when the update will make its way to the HTC One X for AT&T which features 4G LTE connectivity is is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 processor.
