Apple iPhone 5 - Coming to Cricket on September 28

The Apple iPhone 5 is coming to Cricket starting September 28. This means that AT&T, Verizon and Sprint wont be the only carriers to offer Apple’s newest iPhone. The launch date is quite early considering that Cricket will have the iPhone 5 just weeks after it is made available through the nations top three carriers.

The iPhone 5 will be available through a pay-as-you-go option, so you wont require the normal long term contract. Choosing between signing a contract and paying the full retail price of the device is something to be considered.

While Cricket has not revealed the pricing plan for the iPhone 5, we expect it to be priced at $499 for the 16GB variant, similar to the iPhone 4S pricing when it was first launched. It is likely that the iPhone 4S will receive a $100 discounted price to make room for its newer sibling.

Cricket has no information on pre-ordering the device, and we assume that you may have to wait until September 28th. Meanwhile we will update you if anything changes, so you can stay tuned for more information in the coming days.
