LG's tagline for the Mobile World Congress was - 'LTE, It's always LG' and the company highlighted this in their new lineup of handsets. Their lineup was led by the LG Optimus 4X HD alongside the LG Optimus L3, LG Optimus L5, LG Optimus L7, LG Optimus 3D Max and the LG Optimus Vu.
The LG Optimus 4X HD which succeeds the LG Optimus 2X which was the world's first dual-core handset. The device features a 4.7-inch 720p HD touchscreen display, 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel video call camera, 16GB of internal storage and is powered by a quad-core NVidia Tegra 3 chipset. The Optimus 4X HD will be released with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board.
The LG Optimus 3D Max succeeds the succeeds the LG Optimus 3D in a thinner and lighter frame. The device features a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, 8GB of internal storage, microSD, dual 5 megapixel cameras and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. It's has the Smart Ruler augmented reality app and the DSLR shot feature which is comparable to DSLR cameras
The LG Optimus Vu features a 5 inch touchscreen display currently only rivalled by the Samsung Galaxy Note, an 8 megapixel camera capable of capturing 1080p HD video, 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD and powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The Optimus Vu will also feature a capacitive stylus similar to the Galaxy Note which can be used to take notes on it's 1024x768 pixel, 4:3 display.
The LG Optimus L7 features a 4.3 inch touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. It's display and 8.8 mm thin frame are impressive, but the plastic used in it's construction makes the device feel cheap, which is unfortunate. The Optimus L7 will be released with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board.
The LG Optmius L5 features a 4 inch display, 5 megapixel camera, microSD storage and is powered by an 800MHz processor. The processor on board at times cannot handle the strain required by a middle tier smartphone which can be disappointing.
Last by not least is the LG Optimus L3 which features a 3.2 inch display, 3.2 megapixel camera,FM radio and microSD storage. The device is the entry level smartphone in LG's lineup and runs Android Gingerbread.
