Lets take you through the first day so you can find out for yourself.
The day kicked off with the keynote address by Nokia CEO Steven Elop, who spoke about how Nokia was moving forward. The Nokia N9 played a part in company's step into the future, which I found confusing, given that Nokia has chosen to go with the Windows Phone platform. I cant help but hope that Nokia will leave Meego as an option, specially because of the hype they are building up with the device.
New phone announcements was next in the cards, and we were introduced to the Nokia Asha series - The Asha 200, 201, 300 and 303.
These devices run Series 40 and were introduced relating each of them to a real world life story around the world. Angry Birds will also be available on S40 which is quite a treat for the platform which could.
Next in line for the Nokia Lumia 800 - the 'first real Windows Phone' from Nokia. The Lumia 800 shares the exterior of the N9 and comes packing the latest Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.
The Lumia 800 features a 3.7 inch AMOLED ClearBlack curved display 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics capable of capturing video at 720p, 16GB of internal storage with access to 25GB of free cloud storage through SkyDrive, and is powered by a 1.4GHz processor.
The device is estimated to cost € 420, excluding taxes and subsidies and will be available in the coming weeks
The next device was the Nokia Lumia 710 - which is the second Windows Phone from Nokia. The device features interchangeable back covers which are available in glossy or matte variants.
The Lumia 710 is a more affordable alternate to the Lumia 800 which maintaining in the same interior that powers it's sibling.
The device features a 3.7 inch TFT display, 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics which is capable of capturing 720p, 8GB of internal storage
Nokia also introduced a new series of Purity headsets. These headsets bring a new era of design in ear covering and earplug style headsets by complementing the design styles of the Nokia N9 and the Nokia Lumia 800.
The Purity headsets will be available in Cyan, Magenta, Black and White and will be available alongside the new Windows Phones
It wasn't just hardware that Nokia had to demonstrate, the company also has new apps which will complement the user experience on Nokia Windows Phones. Nokia Drive, Nokia Music, Nokia Pulse, Mix Radio and the ESPN Sports hub are some of these apps that will help Nokia differentiate themselves from the other Windows Phones in the market.
So thats it for day one, so let us know your thoughts on the day and if you got what you expected from Nokia. The company has a long way in it's battle to replaim the mobile market, now dominated by Apple's iPhone and Google's Android. We are all eager to see if their Windows Phone partnership will get them there.
