Windows Phone 7.1 features revealed



An major update has been expected for the Windows Phone platform for some time now, namely the Mango Update which has now been named Windows Phone 7.5.

Microsoft official revealed some of the productivity features we can expect in the upcoming update for the Windows Phone operating system during the TechEd 2011.
  • Pinnable email folders - You can now pin an email folder to your homescreen for quick access. This could be a work or personal folder, or even an Outlook RSS feed.
  • Conversation view in email - Emails will be organized as conversations, making it easy to keep track to your replies in a fast and consolidated manner.
  • Server Search - You will have access to all the emails on your email server (Exchange Server) instead of only the emails stored on your device.
  • Lync - Lync Mobile brings the Lync experience to Windows Phone users through its unified communications unflappabilities, including instant messaging and the ability to see the presence of your co-workers. The app will e available as a free downland from the Windows Phone marketplace and can be enabled with support by your office/business tech support.
