Apple iPhone OS 3.1.3 now available to download

Apple

Apple released iPhone OS 3.1.3 (7E18) on the 2nd of February at 10.30 AM PST. Users can download the update by connecting their device to iTunes.

[JAILBREAK] Users who rely on jailbreaking and unlocking are advised to take note of the following points before updating their devices.

For iPhone 3GS - Users stay clear of this update. There is no work around at this point for anyone who have accidentally updated.
  • If you have upgraded to 3.1.2 with baseband 5.11 (BlackRa1n) you should stay on this.
  • If you upgraded to 3.1.2 keeping your baseband at 4.26 (PwnageTool) you can use the updated PwnageTool to upgrade your firmware to 3.1.3 (This will retain your baseband)
iPhone 3G Users - A small group of users who have upgraded to 3.1.3 with baseband 5.12 were able to downgrade their baseband's to 4.26 using a tool called fuzzyband, which is available on Cydia. This tool does not work on all 3G iPhones nor on the 3GS.
