HTC One S for Telus in Canada receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update

The HTC One S for Telus in Canada is now receiving the  software update with HTC Sense 4+ included. The update comes a couple of months after the update was pushed to the International version. The update was previously expected in January this year but was later pushed back. With Jelly Bean users will receive several enhancements and benefits including actionable notifications in the notification pane, The ability to easily share videos and photos using Android Beam and improved device stability.

You will receive an OTA update notification when the update is available for your device, but keep in mind that it maybe a day or two before the update is completely rolled out to all handsets. If you miss the notification you can manually check for the update availability by heading over to Settings > About device > Software update to find the download.

HTC One S for T-Mobile starts Jelly Bean beta tests

A couple of days ago we reported that the international HTC One S was receiving the Jelly Bean software update. It now turns out that select members of the HTC One S for T-Mobile were being invited to an exclusive program to trial  on their devices. This program is limited to a select group of customers who are in the good graces of HTC and get access to exclusive beta tests.

The release of a beta can only indicate that the final version of Android 4.1 for the HTC One S for T-Mobile maybe just around the corner.

HTC One S receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update with HTC Sense 4+


The international HTC One S are getting an early Christmas in the form of the  software update. This means you can enjoy the smooth performance of project butter along with Google Now which will help you keep track of your weather, traffic conditions, sports updates along with other special updates. It will also bring the other security enhancements you will expect from Jelly Bean.

The update also brings the updated HTC Sense 4+ UI, better camera performance, a new landing page and events/map view in the gallery. You will also have improved battery life and better power management.

HTC One S receives software update, but not all devices


Earlier today we reported that HTC One S devices were receiving a minor software update which we hoped would be in preparation of . It turns out the update will only be available for devices running software versions 1.53.531.16 or 1.84.531.2, which will be updated to version 2.35.531.10 after the update.

If you are running Android 4.0.4 with software version 2.35.531.7, which was released for the HTC One S back in September, your unit will be considered up to date and will not be updated to version 2.35.531.10.

HTC One S receives minor software update

HTC One S owners can expect a minor software update to arrive on their devices today, which is hopefully in preparation of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the handset. The update takes the software from version 2.35.531.7 710RD to 2.35.531. 10710RD and is around 30MB in size, but there is no indication on what changes are offered yet.

Following their announcement of the HTC One X+ which will run Jelly Bean, HTC has also confirmed that the HTC One X and the HTC One S will be receiving the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update before the end of October.

HTC One S for T-Mobile receives Android 4.0.4 update with HTC Sense 4.1


The HTC One S for T-Mobile will be receiving an incremental update on Wednesday which will upgrade Android 4.0.3 to Android 4.0.4. The update will also upgrade the HTC Sense UI to version 4.1 from 4.0. The update looks to be the same as the one which was previously released to the European variant of the device. This means users in the U.S. can also expect performance improvements along with features like the new quick settings on the notifications page.

The update also brings improved Wi-Fi connectivity, which has been an issue for HTC One S users since the device was first released. There are also improvements to the devices’ Bluetooth connectivity, improvements to showing links on email, crashing fixes, fixes to music streaming and improvements to the UI.

HTC One S receives Android 4.0.4 update in Europe

The HTC One S users in Germany and Netherlands are now receiving the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update on their devices, along with HTC Sense UI 4.1. HTC has also improved their camera app with the update along with bringing some bug fixes and performance improvements. The update is also included the EA Gamebox gaming hub and a remote control diagnostics tool for HTC.

The One S features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 8 megapixel camera capable of capturing 1080p HD video and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor. The device was released with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the HTC Sense 4.0 UI.

HTC One S coming to T-Mobile on April 25th for $199.99

HTC_OneS_TMobThe is set to arrive on T-Mobile on April 25 will be available both online and through online stores. The device will cost $199.99 after a $50 main-in rebate card with a two-year contract.

HTC One S - Hands On


The HTC One S features a  4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 8 megapixel camera capable of capturing 1080p HD video and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor.
The One S is a mid-range handset and one of HTC's lineup of Android devices for the MWC 2012. The device runs Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4.0 user interface on top.
