The Samsung Galaxy Note II for AT&T (SGH-i317) is now receiving a software update which is around 93.2MB in size, and bring the KOT49H.I317UCUCNJ1 software version. AT&T has been very vague on the changelog, simply stating that the update brings "Android OS Enhancements"

Samsung Galaxy Note II for AT&T receives Android 4.4.2 software update

The Samsung Galaxy Note II for AT&T is now receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat software update. The update is being pushed OTA (over-the-air) and brings Android 4.4.2 along with several new features and improvements.

You will be able to download and install the update once you receive the OTA update notification. Before updating your device make sure your battery is fully charged and that you are connected to your Wi-Fi network to avoid unnecessary data charges. If you don't receive the update notification, you can check for it under Settings.

Samsung Galaxy Note II for Sprint receives Android 4.4 KitKat

Samsung Galaxy Note II for SprintThe Samsung Galaxy Note II for Sprint is now receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat software update. This makes Sprint, the first major carrier in the U.S. to offer KitKat for the former phablet flagship.

Sprint hasn't provided a detailed changelog with the update which brings Android 4.4.2 with the L900VPUBNE2 software version.

Samsung Galaxy Note II receives Android 4.3 test firmware

Samsung has been working  hard to bring the  software updates to their flagship devices. This is mainly because the company wants to extend support for the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch, which requires Bluetooth 4.0 LE from the Android 4.3 update.

It looks like the update for the Samsung Galaxy Note II could be pretty close to ready, because the  N7100XXUEMJ5 test version of the software has leaked out.

Samsung Galaxy S4 to get Android 4.3 in October, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 in November

Recently we have been seeing many rumors on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung Galaxy Note II. Now French carrier SFR has released a roadmap with information on when their devices will be receiving their next updates. According to SFR, the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 should be getting Android 4.3 Jelly Bean sometime in November-December, while the almighty Galaxy S4 is set to receive it in October.

This in no way confirms that the U.S. variants of these devices will get the updates at the same time, but at least is indicates a time frame for Samsung to start rolling out the updates.

Samsung Galaxy Note II for Verizon receives Android 4.1.2 software update

Samsung-Galaxy-Note-2The Samsung Galaxy Note II for Verizon is now receiving the Android 4.1.2 software update. Users will receive a notification when the update is available for devices at which point you can initiate the update.

The Galaxy Note II features a 5.5 inch HD touch display, up to 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, 4G LTE connectivity, an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM.

The update will take around 30 to 45 minutes and brings several new features and improvements

Samsung Galaxy Note II for T-Mobile receives software update which brings LTE support

T-Mobile is releasing an update for their Samsung Galaxy Note II which will bring Android 4.1.2 and the T889UVBMB4 software version. The update will introduce LTE compatibility for the device along with other improvements and enhancements from the latest version of .

You can download the update to your device over the air (OTA) once you receive the notification or by connecting your handset to your computer through the Samsung Kies software.

Samsung Galaxy Note II for AT&T receives software update, fixes Exynos exploit

Samsung-Galaxy-Note-2AT&T has rolled out a software update for their Samsung Galaxy Note II on Friday for the devices running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The update which is 8MB in size and updates the base-band to version I317UCAMA4 is aimed at closing the Exynos exploit which was discovered on Samsung devices. The update has already been released for the International Samsung Galaxy Note II and was also released for the Samsung Galaxy Note II for Verizon.

The exploit affects devices powered by Samsung’s Exynos 4210 or Exynos 4412 processors and allows any app installed on the device to be used to gain access to the device and wipe the memory or brick the device.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update in Canada

The Samsung Galaxy Note II devices in Canada are now receiving the  software update. This means that customers on Bell, Rogers, Telus and SaskTel will all get access to the latest version of Android. It is possible that more carriers will be added to the list soon.
