With the Google Maps update, Uber customers will be able to see the estimated pickup time for an Uber, as well as the estimated fare based on the directions to your destination on your Map. OpenTable integration is packed in, too, allowing you to reserve a table right from a restaurant's Maps info card, which is certainly pretty nice.
Functionally, Google Maps will remain the same, with the same layout as before However users may notice the app will be smoother courtesy of the usual performance improvements. Visually though, users will notice that Google maps has adopted the Material Design style, which will be apart of Android 5.0 Lollipop.
