HTC One M8 for T-Mobile receives Android 4.4.4 KitKat along with HTC EYE Experience

HTC One (M8)

The HTC One M8 for T-Mobile is now receiving the Android 4.4.4 software update, which includes the new EYE Experience which was introduced during HTC's "Double Exposure" event a few weeks ago. The update first started rolling out for the unlocked units last week and it looks like T-Mobile will be the first US carrier to offer the update.

The EYE Experience is available on the HTC Desire EYE, right out of the box and other HTC handsets are also expected to receive this feature in future updates. The EYE Experience update brings a few of HTC's brand-new camera features, including Face Tracking and Screen Share, Split Capture, Face Fusion, and others.

The update is rolling out OTA (over-the-air) and is quite large in size. Users are advised to make sure that their battery is fully charged and that they are connected to Wi-Fi before installing the update. If you don't receive an OTA notification you can try manually checking for the update on your device by heading to Settings > Software Update > Check Now.

You can check for a list of devices which will receive the EYE experience update here.
