Google Nexus 9 shipping date delayed to mid-December by Amazon U.K.

Google Nexus 9

Some Amazon U.K. customers who pre-ordered the Google Nexus 9 tablet, have apparently received an email stating that the shipping of the Nexus 9 has been delayed to at least the middle of December.

While Amazon did not provide further details to the cause of the delay, a few who had contacted the online retailer were told that the decision to wait was "based on the manufacturer's decision, and the date mentioned by the manufacturer and supplied by the supplier." Currently the Amazon UK website also shows that the item will be released on December 15 in line with the emails.

Fortunately it doesn't seem like Google Play has changed their shipping date, which is still firmly set to November 3rd. So unless you intend to wait for Amazon to ship the tablets you could consider canceling your order and witch over to Google Play for your Nexus 9.

The Nexus 9 is built for Google by HTC and is the company's newest flagship tablet. It features a 8.9 inch touch display with a 1536 x 2048 pixel resolution, up to 32GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear camera, a 1.6MP front camera, and a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 2GB of RAM. The Nexus 9 will be one of the first devices to run Android 5.0 Lollipop. The 16GB model costs £319.00 ($399) while the 32GB model has been priced at £399.00 ($479)
