Sony Xperia Z receives Android 4.4.4 software update

Sony is currently seeding out the Android 4.4.4 KitKat software update for the Sony Xperia Z. The update is currently available to users in France, but should eventually be available to all Xperia Z units around the world.

Sony Xperia Z has been running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat since May. Sony has decided to skip the 4.4.3 version and went straight for the newer version 4.4.4 of KitKat. Of course, it incorporates all bug fixes Google has come up for both versions.

The new update is available over the air and the notification should pop up on your Xperia Z very soon. The Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z should be next in line to receive the latest version of Android.
