Apple Event - iPhone 6 and iWatch unveiling - Livestream

Apple September 9 event

We know that Apple has scheduled a media event on September 9, where the company will unveil some new hardware. This year is expected to be an important one as the iPhone 6 and iWatch are expected to be unveiled. Apple is planning to livestream the event so that everyone will get a peek at what they have been working on.

We already know that this event will be special even for the simple fact that Apple has rented a larger than usual venue for the keynote - rather than holding it in the Yerba Buena Center for Arts in San Francisco, it picked the larger hall of Flint Center in its home town of Cupertino. The Flint Center is an iconic location for Apple: it’s the place where the company unveiled the iconic Macintosh 30 years ago in 1984, and that’s also where the colorful iMac that started the revival for Apple in 1998.

The keynote will be handled by CEO Tim Cook, as the company unveils its largests iPhone to date. Previously iPhones have always been easy to handle with one hand. But the popularity of the phablets have forced Apple into rethinking this strategy... Rumors suggest that the next generation iPhone may come in not one, but two larger sizes and we can't wait to see it take the stage.

Apple is also planning to unveil its iWatch, a product supervised from its inception by the company’s chief designer Jony Ive and the company's first wearable electronic device. While the iWatch is undoubtedly coming late to the race, Apple will hope for its newest device to replicate the hype and success the iPod, iPhone and iPad have brought the company.

[UPDATE] During the event, Apple unveiled the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the Apple Watch. Both iPhones will be available on September 19th and the Apple Watch will arrive in early 2015.
