Some Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus users who installed the recently released iOS 8.0.1 update have found that their devices were no longer able to connect to their carrier networks. Additionally the update has also caused TouchID issues for these two new handsets.
Apple will undoubtedly be working on a an update to fix these issues, but here is a solution to tide you over.
First, you will have to turn off Find My iPhone. Next download the version of iOS 8.0 for your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. Then download and install the latest version of iTunes. Run iTunes, connect your iPhone to your computer, and wait for it to be detected. Hold down Control (PC) or Option (Mac) and click on "Check for Update". Choose the iOS 8 IPSW file you previously downloaded and wait for your device to be downgraded back to iOS 8.
Once your iPhone 6 is back in working order (on iOS 8) you can turn Find my iPhone back on. If this solution does not work for you, consider a full restore or you may have to wait for Apple to eventually send out a fix.
[UPDATE] Apple has acknowledged the issues iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users are facing with the iOS 8.0.1 update and claimed that they are working hard at readying a fix for these issues in the form of iOS 8.0.2... Appple recommended that users affected by this issue downgrade to iOS 8.0 in order to rectify the issue. For more information visit http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6487.
