According to LG, the new handset is here "to address the growing low- to mid-tier segment of smartphone customers who want a great device that’s more compact but still powerful enough to run the most popular apps."
The LG G3 Beat runs Android 4.4 KitKat, which is customized with the new interface which debuted in the LG G3. The handset features a 5 inch IPS display with a 720 by 1280 pixel resolution, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8MP rear camera with Laser autofocus, a 1.3MP front camera, a 2540 mAh battery and a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM.
The G3 Beat will be first available in LG’s home country (South Korea), where customers should be able to find it starting July 18. Just like its larger sibling, the new smartphone will have three color versions: black, white, and gold.
