The affordable HTC Desire 516 has been unveiled for the European market, and will be available starting early August in Austria and Switzerland for €199 (about $270). The Desire 516 is the second dual SIM smartphone that HTC announces in Europe this week, after the Dual SIM HTC One M8.
The HTC Desire 516 features a 5 inch display with a qHD (540 x 960) resolution, 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5MP rear camera, a 2 MP front camera and a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB of RAM.
Unfortunately HTC hasn't included Android 4.4 KitKat with this device, so you won't get to experience the latest Sense 6.0 UI. Instead you will have to be content with Android Jelly Bean.
Besides its upcoming availability in Europe, the HTC Desire 516 was also released to the Chinese and Indian markets. There is no news on whether HTC plans to offer this handset to other markets at this time.
