The Samsung Galaxy Note II for Verizon (model SCH-I605) is reportedly receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat software update starting today. This update which is 246.5MB in sizecomes less than a month after the carrier released KitKat for the Galaxy Note 3, and brings the KOT49H.I605VRUFND7 build number.
Along with the Android 4.4.2 software version and the usual enhancements offered by KitKat, the update brings support for Samsung Knox version 2.0 on Verizon's Note II. It also fixes some issues and small bugs, while removing apps like S Suggest and Samsung Music. Additionally, support for the new Samsung Gear 2 smartwatch has been added.
Its quite impressive that Samsung has managed to rollout the KitKat update for their Note II ahead of AT&T and T-Mobile, even though Sprint managed to get the update for its Note II out ahead of the others in May.
