Google and Samsung have discounted the price of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition by $200. That brings the price down from $649 to a much more respectable $449 on the Google Play Store. Google is even throwing in free shipping with the device purchase for good measure.
The Xperia Z Ultra features a huge 6.4 inch display with a 1080p resolution, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM.
The handset is unlocked with support for almost all GSM/LTE networks, including T-Mobile and AT&T in the US. Additionally, as it is a Google Play device, the Xperia Z Ultra which currently runs Android 4.4.2 will be first in line to receive software updates alongside Google's Nexus line up.
There is no news on why the device received the price cut, and its clearly one of the best value Google Play Devices currently on the store. There are no sale dates listed on the Google Play store page, so this might be a permanent price reduction. If you plan to get one for yourself, click on the image below and head to the store.
