The HTC One M8 for Verizon is receiving a firmware update which brings the 1.55.605.2 software version. This update is a maintenance release that kills bugs dead. It also improves some issues with Bluetooth connectivity, and syncing with the Dot View case that have affected the phone. It also adds a new copy and paste feature to the gallery app, and adds mute and edit buttons for the Video Highlights feature.
The update is reportedly 121.5MB in size, so users are advised to connect to Wi-Fi before downloading the update to save on their data allowance.
The HTC One M8 is the successor to the HTC One. The device features a 5 inch full 1080p HD display, up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, twin 4 megapixel rear UltraPixel cameras, a secondary 5MP font facing camera for video calls and a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM.
Reports also suggest that Verizon will be rolling out to Android 4.4 KitKat for the Samsung Galaxy S4 starting May 2nd. Aside from a number of changes Google brings to the mix, this firmware will also include many Samsung-made enhancements, software updates, tweaks, bug fixes and more. Stay tuned for updates on that report.
