Samsung has revealed that they have scheduled their next Unpacked press event on February 24 in Barcelona. This happens to be the first day of the Mobile World Congress 2014, and could likely be the venue for the Galaxy S5 unveiling.
The fact that the invitation reads "Unpacked 5" and that Samsung has used the Unpacked event to unveil the Galaxy S II in the past makes it likely that we will see the Samsung Galaxy S5 unveiled at this year's Unpacked.
According to rumors the Galaxy S5 is expected to feature a 5.2 inch QHD (1440 x 2560) display, up to 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 16MP rear camera and 3GB of RAM. The handset is expected to come in two models - one featuring a 64-bit octa-core 2GHz Exynos 6 processor, and another one powered by a quad-core 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU.
Of course there is no guarantee that Samsung will reveal their Android flagship during Unpacked 5. Samsung could take the opportunity to unveil other products instead, so stay tuned and we will bring you updates in the deals that lead up to the event.
