The low priced, high value, Motorola Moto G on Verizon is now receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat software update. The update brings the 173.44.20.en.US software version and Android 4.4.2, which will give you a near stock Android experience with useful enhancements from Motorola.
The update is being send to handsets OTA on a staggered basis. This means that it may take a couple of days to arrive on your device. If you don't receive a notification by then you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.
Make sure that you have fully charged your device before you initiate the update process, which should complete in about 10 minutes after it has been downloaded.
The update started rolling out to the international Moto G in Europe in early January and is reportedly undergoing a soak test for T-Mobile customers.
