The Gionee Elife S5.5 which is now available for pre-order as the new world's new 'thinnest' phone, at just 5.5mm thin. Until now the Vivo X3 held the top spot with its 5.75 mm thin waistline.
The Chinese manufacturer has even managed to pack in a decent set of specifications into this device. The device has a 5 inch display with an undisclosed resolution, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, a 2300 mAh battery and a 1.7GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Gionee claims that the Elife S5.5 will be able to get you through the working day which is an impressive feat considering the slender frame of this device.
The Elife S5.5 will be available in both 3G and LTE versions, with the 3G one now up on preorder for the decent sum of $370 unsubsidized. The LTE variant is scheduled to arrive in June. What's more interesting is that the company claims it will gradually launch the phone in 40 countries worldwide.
