We have already seen the new Nexus 7 go up against Apple's first generation iPad mini. But now that Apple has released the Apple iPad mini with Retina Display has been released, its time for the Google Nexus 7 (2013) to step up again to the challenge.
Even though Apple has done an amazing job upgrading their iPad mini with powerful internals and a top of its class display, their choice to price it at $399 compared to the $230 price of the Nexus 7 makes us wonder if it is worth investing it.
Apple's iPad has the advantage of premium construction and a better tablet app ecosystem compared to the Android powered Nexus 7. We also personally prefer the iPad's screen size compared to the smaller leaner 7 inch display on the Nexus tablet. However we don't feel any of this justifies the value for money that Google offers on their tablet.
