Google Nexus 10 receives manual Android 4.4.1 update

The Google Nexus 10 is finally getting its share of the Android 4.4.1 software update. The incremental update is still rolling out to the various devices, but we have seen the manual update files released for the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7. Now, Google's largest tablets is gettings its turn at the latest bug fixes and enhancements available on the latest version of KitKat.

Unfortunately Google hasn't revealed a changelog with this update so we aren't certain what the 4.4.1 update brings to the Nexus 10. However we do know that the Google+ Photos app gets promoted as the default app for handling your camera images, rather than the stock Gallery app.

The OTA update should arrive on your device eventually, but you could also sideload the update to your Nexus 10 by downloading the update file using the following link:
  • Download Android 4.4.1 for Google Nexus 10
Make sure that your Nexus 10 is running stock Android 4.4 build KRT16S before installing the update package, and follow these instructions if you need assistance.
