LG G Flex officially announced, which curved display and self healing back cover

The LG G Flex is now official with uses flexible OLED screen technology to offer a 6 inch display with a curve along the horizontal axis. The display has a 720 by 1280 pixel resolution, and the device is 7.9mm to 8.7mm thin at various points, because of its curve. The G Flex is not just meant to look cool, it also offers some serious processing power with a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor under its hood. The device also comes packed with 32GB of internal storage, a 13 megapixel rear camera, a secondary 2.1 megapixel camera for video calls, and 2GB of RAM to keep things smooth.

LG has used a curved battery with the G Flex, which makes use of the company's stack & fold technology. This process does a great job at minimizing the stress on the battery's components as the cell is being molded to the desired shape. At the same time, the company has managed to maintain the battery's high stability and performance. Even with its unorthodox shape, the curved battery inside the LG G Flex can hold 3500mAh of charge.

LG G Flex - Specs
The LG G Flex is an Android smartphone which features a 6 inch curved touch display, 32GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear camera, a 2.1MP front camera, a 3500 mAh battery and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU with 2GB of RAM

The shape of the device is meant to make it easier to hold up to the ear and mouth when making or taking a call. The G Flex has a "swing lock screen" feature makes the wallpaper move if you tilt the screen. Touching the screen in different spots results in different unlocking effects and certain multimedia apps will open when you pinch from the lock screen.

LG has added to the appeal of the device by giving it a 'self healing' rear cover.  A special coating which has been applied to the back of the device gets rid of scratches extremely fast, usually "within minutes".

The LG G Flex will be launched next month via the top three carriers in South Korea. So far, there is no word about a global release of the phone, though LG's new strategy to be a global brand should bring this device across the world.
