Google Nexus 7 (2013) receives Android 4.3.1 software update

It wasn't too long ago that Google announced  to the world and subsequently released the update for their Nexus and Google Play Edition devices. Now with Android 4.4 KitKat around the corner, the company has surprisingly released a new Android 4.3.1 update for the new Google Nexus 7 owners.

The Android 4.3.1 definitely doesn't look like a major update and is likely aimed at fixing bugs and stability as the devices get ready for the next version of Android which is expected later this month. What’s interesting however is that Google has already launched a few of those updates and fixes without incrementing the version number, so this likely has some deeper changes that we're yet to find.

The update has rolled out over the air and should arrive to your device soon, if it hasn’t yet. Additionally the update brings the the JSL36I build number and 9.42MB in size. The radio version of the device the same.

If you are adventurous and if you are familiar with using the adb sideload command, you can download the update using the following links:
Please do not use this if you are unfamiliar with flashing your Android device, you will be better off waiting for the official OTA update.
