Sony Xperia Tablet Z officially announced

Sony recently announced it upcoming smartphone flagship, the Sony Xperia Z. Now the manufacturer is ready to reveal its accompanying tablet, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. The device features a 10.1 inch display with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and the Mobile BRAVIA 2  engine. The resolution may not be as attractive as the 2560 x 1600 pixels and 300 ppi pixel density of the Google Nexus 10, but the Xperia Z still looks like one of the top premium tablets in the market.

The tablet also features an 8.1 megapixel rear camera, NFC, LTE connectivity, microSD storage and the Sony S-Force sound which is said to bring “a sense of spaciousness”. The device will run  out of the box and is both water and dust proof. The unit has a very slim 6.9 mm profile and weighs only 495 grams.

The Tablet Z is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, which should offer it the power you need to manage most tasks.

Sony has still to reveal the pricing or availability of this tablet. Be sure to stay tuned for more information as it becomes availability.
