ASUS Transformer Book Trio with Android / Windows 8 dual-boot showcased

This is not the first time we are seeing the ASUS Transformer Book Trio, which was first announced back at Computex 2013. But Asus did not shy away from showing off their Android / Windows dual-booting hybrid device at the ongoing IFA 2013 in Berlin.

The Transformer Book Trio is basically a mashup between the Asus Transformer Book and the Asus Transformer Pad. It features a 11.6 inch display with a 1080p full HD resolution, up to 64GB of internal storage and it is powered by an Intel Atom Z2760 processor clocked at 1.6GHz with 2GB of RAM. Unfortunately it doesn't look like Windows 8 can be used in tablet mode, but you will be getting the latest version  of  (Android 4.2.2) if you prefer the Android experience.

If you are looking for more power, you don't have to switch to a different device. Docking your Transformer Book Trio to its keyboard dock will let you get as much as 1TB of storage, an Intel Core i7 Haswell processor and 4GB of RAM. Asus promises the Transformer Book Trio will give you 13 hours of battery life when you tablet is docked, though you will only get 5 hours when your device is running the full Windows 8 experience despite the Haswell chip. Another interesting aspect of the keyboard dock is its ability to connect to an external display for a near all in one PC experience.

Unfortunately Asus has still not revealed the pricing of the device, though its looking quite an interesting device.
