The BlackBerry Z10 for AT&T is now receiving the BlackBerry 10.1 software update. This puts the Z10 in line with the BlackBerry Q10 which was launched with BlackBerry 10.1 on-board. The update brings support for Skype, HDR mode for the camera and improvements to notifications and the BlackBerry Hub including other features and improvements.
The High Dynamic Mode (HDR) combines the best of the dark and light areas in photos allowing improved photos in low-light conditions. The update to the camera also reduces red and golden eye images. BlackBerry 10.1 also includes the ability to paste numbers into the dialer, check for updates to apps in BlackBerry App World, and gives users the option to turn off alerts for certain apps.
Users will receive a notification when the update is available for their devices at which point it can be downloaded OTA (over-the-air). However if you are not willing to wait for the update to arrive OTA, you can consider manually downloading it by connecting your Z10 to your computer through the BlackBerry Desktop Software ( PC | MAC )
Now that the BlackBerry 10.1 update has arrived, its probably time to look forward toward BlackBerry
10.2 which is next in line for the platform.
