The Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II for Verizon is now receiving the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update. The update is being rolled out OTA (over-the-air) and in phases starting Wednesday. You should receive a notification when the update is available for your handset, if you don't you can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > About Device > Software Updates > Check Now.
Once you have installed Jelly Bean, you will be able to enjoy all the new features and enhancements to your device including the performance improvements offered by Project Butter. It removes the lag that users may have noticed when using the Stratosphere II. Another important feature is Google Now, which is a card based digital assistant that helps you manage your life. The update also brings actionable notifications which allows you to allows you to make calls, view pictures and video, and respond to emails directly from the notification screen.
The update is around 506.6 MB in size and is best downloading over a Wi-Fi connection to avoid unnecessary data charges. It should take around 10 - 12 minutes to download and an additional 10 minutes to install.
