Nokia Here Maps, Here Drive+ Beta, Here City Lens and Here Transit updated for Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices



Nokia has released updates for their navigation and location platform apps for their Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices. No official change log has been released, but the small bump in the version number suggests performance improvements and bug fixes.

HERE Maps (3.2.315.8)
Nokia Maps is now HERE Maps, featuring great offline mapping which allows you to download the maps in your location and use them later when you don’t have access to your data connection. This allows you to save your maps when you have access to your Wi-Fi and allows you to save your valuable data costs.

HERE Drive+ Beta (2.22164.8)
Nokia Drive is now HERE Drive+ Beta with voice-guided driving navigation to help you reach your destination safely and reliably. HERE Maps also offers offline maps, which means you can get navigation without the need of a data connection.

HERE Transit (3.5.1034.0)
Nokia Transit is now HERE Transit. It’s the fastest and easiest way to navigate around your location by bus, tram, subway and regional train. Available in over 650 cities, this is the only public transportation app you’ll ever need.

Given Nokia’s commitment to bringing some of their exclusive Windows Phone 8 apps to Windows Phone 7, we cant help but hope that the full featured HERE maps will be made available for the Windows Phone 7 platform too.
