The Samsung Galaxy S IV is now available for pre-order in the United Kingdom through a a vast majority of the major retailers. The device is expected to be available late next month and while prices will vary depending on which package you select, its a likely assumption who will be spending a reasonable amount to own Samsung's latest flagship.
In terms of specs the Galaxy S IV doesn't disappoint. It features a 5 inch Super AMOLED touch display with a 1080 by 1920 pixel resolution, up to 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary 2 megapixel camera for video calls, 4G LTE connectivity, NFC, and is powered by a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa core processor or a (Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor) with 2GB of RAM.
Everything Everywhere will have the Galaxy S IV on its 4G plans with prices starting at £31 per month while the device will cost you an additional £269.99 upfront. Those who pre-order will be treated to an accessory pack valued at £54.99, which will feature a smart cover, 16GB microSD card and an in-car charger. The offer is likely valid only while stocks last.
T-Mobile and Orange which are also under EE will also retail the Galaxy S IV, but it will only be available on its 3G bands.
Those who pre-order the Galaxy S IV from Phones4U will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Camera and a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. A Google Play gift card will also be on offer depending on the contract your sign up for. For example if you sign up for a 4G EE contract priced at £46 will get you £100 of Play Store credit.
Meanwhile Vodafone will slash £5 off your monthly bill if you trade-in any working touchscreen device. This offer will be really useful for anyone who has an old touchscreen smartphone lying around which they are not using. The Carphone Warehouse is offering an accessory pack with Galaxy S IV pre-orders while O2 which requires a £99 initial fee will double your data allows on their £37 per month.
Three will let you get the device for free on their £35 per month or higher plans, which let you take advantage of their (cap-free) unlimited data. Unfortunately you wont get any perks from Three for your pre-order.
