Nokia rebrands their navigation and location apps to HERE

Nokia has rebranded their navigation and location platform to HERE and have re-introduced the apps with new names and features – HERE Maps, HERE Drive, HERE Transit and HERE City Lens.

The new HERE apps work together on Windows Phone 8 to help you explore and navigate through your everyday life. Discover and explore places around you and get there with walk navigation, voice-guided turn-by-turn driving directions or door-to-door public transportation directions. The info you need is just a tap away through the Live Tiles on your home screen.

You can download the updated directly on your device through the Windows Phone Store or by using the link which follows:

HERE Maps
Nokia Maps is now HERE Maps, featuring great offline mapping which allows you to download the maps in your location and use them later when you don’t have access to your data connection. This allows you to save your maps when you have access to your Wi-Fi and allows you to save your valuable data costs.
You can download HERE Maps for Windows Phone 8 by scanning the QR code on your right with the Bing search app or by clicking it.

HERE Drive+ Beta
Nokia Drive is now HERE Drive+ Beta with voice-guided driving navigation to help you reach your destination safely and reliably. HERE Maps also offers offline maps, which means you can get navigation without the need of a data connection.
You can download HERE Drive+ Beta for Windows Phone 8 by scanning the QR code on your right with the Bing search app or by clicking it.

HERE Transit
Nokia Transit is now HERE Transit. It’s the fastest and easiest way to navigate around your location by bus, tram, subway and regional train. You can quickly compare routes, see departure and arrival times and find out how far you need to walk to stops and stations. Available in over 650 cities, this is the only public transportation app you’ll ever need.

HERE City Lens
Nokia City Lens is now HERE City Lens. It uses your device camera to show what’s around you and help you discover something new by simply turning around. Just hold up your phone and HERE City Lens presents the best shops, restaurants and more – right in your camera display.

[UPDATE] Nokia has also announced that HERE Maps, HERE Drive Beta and HERE Transit is now available to all Windows Phone 8 devices in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the U.K. and U.S.

Unfortunately it looks like Windows Phone 7 users have been left out yet again from this update.
